Beach...again

Michael and Ava got to go to the beach again this year at Santa Rosa Beach in Florida. They were attending Kathy's wedding. Just a few more photos to make me jealous. I'll post some of her flower girl duties when I get them. I hear she was hillarious. Michael said she was correcting some of the other kids when they said there was seaweed...she said "it's June Grass" very matter of factly. She absorbs everything!

Splash!

Ava and Michael spent the past week in Florida at Michael's sister's (Kathy) Wedding. I went to Greenville for my family reunion. We met back up in Tupelo for the splash showdown. Ava has a pretty decent splash for her age, but her daddy had to show her up and basically empty the pool! I missed my little Ava so much all week! She is becoming such a fish!

Beach Part 2

we thought the tar balls would ruin the vacation, but after wednesday afternoon, there really weren't many to be seen at our beach. As you can see...the water was clear and we had a blast! Ava loved the ocean. She ran in and out, played in the sand, and collected sea shells. We are so sad to leave tomorrow.

Beach Vacation part 1 (pre-tar balls)

Saturday we headed to Miramar Beach for the week. Tracy and Mark met us on Sunday afternoon. My parents came Tuesday night. We have had a great time at the beach, pool, and at the water park. Unfortunately, tar balls began washing up today (Wednesday). It will probably put a damper on things, but we are still having a great time enjoying family time together!

Tracy has been preparing "pink Flamingos"...it is a little too sweet for my taste, but what a pretty drink!

Swimming Lessons

Ava had swimming lessons all week with Ms. Haley again this year. She started the week scared to get in, but by the last day she was jumping in off the diving board and swimming under water. She is still struggling with staying horizontal...she tends to get more vertical the longer she goes. She had her friend, Autumn, in her class this year which made it much better!

Rose Marie's Tea Party

Three lovely ladies at tea! This weekend was our annual family scrapbook weekend. Every year we have it at someone's home and a theme chosen by our hostess. This year we were in Tupelo at my Aunt Rose's house...for a "tea party".

and coloring time. Aunt Shell gave all of the little girls their own bags with markers, crayons, and notepads. This entertained for quite a while. We had such a great weekend with a great hostess! (and we did actually get some scrapbooking done, too)
