Legoland, Florence + the Machine, and Kansas

We went to Kansas to visit my sister Tracy. She took us to Kansas City (MO) to legoland.
On Tracy's front porch at Fort Leavenworth before the concert.
Front row at the Florence and the Machine concert...love her!!!!
 How cool is the harp???!!!!!!
 Yea giant legos!
Kansas city night skyline in legos
The amphitheater we went to both in legos and real life. It was a very cool place.

Building update

A week late on this, but here it is. All slab poured except screened-in porch. This view is from the back. Hopefully framing begins early next week.
I don't know why we bother with playgrounds...construction sites are so much funner! You can also see the bracelet (shrinky dinks) we made that morning--she didn't want to get it dirty.

AK's 5th birthday party

Ava Kathryn had her birthday party at Doodlebug's Paint and Party on Saturday. They had such a great time painting and just being silly girls together!
 Such concentration!

The teacher gave them a life lesson talk at the end of the class. Amazing how art can imitate life.
The finished product! I can't believe she is turning 5 Monday! Time flies!

Just a Monday

just home after gymnastics. Yes, that is a scrunchie on her ankle.
Walking on her hands. She was disappointed that her toes weren't pointed enough.
If you wondered what I look like at work....here I am with my friend Summer.

Weekend news

Ava had a really great time at her first art class on Saturday. She painted the one on the right.
It finally happened! We broke ground on our house this week!

Family Visits

First, a stop in Greenville for the McGarrh family reunion. AK had fun hanging out with her cousins.
Then onto Georgia to see Meme and Pawpaw. AK was so excited to get to pick vegetables from Pawpaw's garden. She got several tomotoes.

We really enjoyed our trip to the Infantry Museum. It was really neat.
