Sunday afternoon...

Ava loves to wear her daddy's hat.

Not to be left out, Ava dons her work glove to help get the yard ready for spring. Amazingly, she picked it up and put it right on. I don't even know how she knew what it was or how to put it on.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Ava's class celebrated St. Patrick's Day at school where she made the fabulous hat she is styling. She is very into her hat. She was also enjoying posing for pictures today then running back to the camera so she could see what the picture looked like.

Burger Time!

After a satisfying bite of a thickburger, there's nothing more refreshing than a big gulp of milk! Ava is so over those little burgers that come in kids meals. She wants her own big burger.

Fun at the Park

We met Summer and Autumn at Ballard Park today to play on the playground and see the ducks. Of course, I spent the whole time chasing my little pumpkin around and keeping her from jumping in the lake with the ducks/geese. Ava is very much "Miss Independent" right now. She kept diving head first down the slides and wanted to climb all of the stairs over and over.

waiting for spring

Ava has been really tired of being couped up inside. All she wants to do is go outside and play. Today was a little warmer, so that's what we did. She ran around, giggled, pointed out airplanes and poop ("pooh").

This is when she got really interested in the camera and wouldn't step back from it.

She was watching Ellie roll around in the grass on her back, so she decided to give it a try.

Steamboat 2009

Michael, Tracy, and I went to Steamboat Springs, CO for the week. Ava stayed with Gigi and Grampa and had a blast!

We had blizzard-like conditions on several days. I decided I don't mind it snowing at night, but I'm not as fond of skiing with very little visability.

Check out Michael's shiny new goggles--you can see the mountain's reflection.
This is heading down Vagabond which is one of our favorites and Tracy's first blue run!
This is after Tracy first conquered Bigfoot (her nemesis).
Some expert only terrain Michael took. Photos like this will be the only way I ever see expert-only anything on a mountain! We had a great time and look forward to taking Ava one day.

Back to G'ville

Ava loves reading books...especially if the book is about her!

Ava's favorite toy at Grandpa and Gigi's house is a firetruck she can ride on. Here she is being pushed by grandpa. It also plays such hits as "I'm rough, I'm tough, I'm a rescue pup..."

She loves carrying and sitting on this turtle stool. I'm sure I did the same thing when I was her age. Somehow I doubt I was strong enough to carry it around, though.

"Go Dogs!" Ava enjoys cheering on her bulldogs while watching the basketball game in grandpa's lap.

Just hanging out with family after eating some hotdogs and french fries on game night.
