Our Little Ballerina

Ever since watching The Nutcracker the week before Christmas, Ava has been obsessed with ballet. She wants to watch it everyday. I can tell she is following in my footsteps and will be a wildly successful ballerina!

Snow!!

It snowed early this morning here...that meant I had to spend the night at the hospital...bad for me, but Ava really enjoyed playing in the snow this afternoon. She loved crunching in it in her rainboots. She kept wanting "different snow" and wanted me to find blue snow instead of white. Michael said she was so excited and telling all her friends at school about the snow when she got there.

Soccer, baby!

Her daddy got her a soccer goal, and she loves kicking all of the balls into it...especially her purple ball. No one can kick the purple ball except her. What a fun way to spend New Year's Day!

Movin on Up!

Ava moved out of her crib and into her "big girl bed" about a week and a half ago. She loves it, and sleeps all night if you can ever get her to sleep. She usually comes out of her room 2 to 10 times before going to sleep. This is gettting exhauting! Granpa made her headboard which looks great in her room! I'm not quit done with everything, but it's getting there.

Cool Ride

It was a little warmer today, so we were able to get outside with Ava's new bike (with pedals). She loved it. She never wanted to get off. She kept saying "Ava's bike with pedals like mommy and daddy." I know...she doesn't have her helmet on...I picked the warmer one today otherwise she always wears it.

Santa Came!

I think it took Ava a minute to understand what exactly was going on. Where did this stuff come from? Is this all mine??

granpa is excited about his ipod

First present opened. Ava got tired of opening presents and had to take a break for breakfast before we forced her to finish opening. Who's ever heard of that?

Just about sums up the morning!

Waffles, eggs, bacon...finger lickin good!

Ava was cooking up some fabulous Christmas dinner with her new kitchen.

Christmas Eve 2009

We had very stormy weather Christmas Eve, but luckily Gigi and Granpa were able to make it from Greenville. Of course we had the traditional spinach lasagna for dinner with pumkin pie and banana pudding for dessert. Yummy! It is a good thing Michael was well-fueled since he had a long night of assisting Santa assemble Ava's kitchen.
