Sampling of Disney Rides

Waiting to ride Snow White's Scary Adventure. Apparently, they are doing away with this ride...sad. We liked it.
AK's favorite ride...Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It is a rollercoaster. She loved to illustrate the ups, downs, turns, and loops with her arms. She proclaimed, "I love rollercoasters...that was sooooo awesome!"
Of course, the Dumbo ride. First one she rode.

Splash Mountain. She had a great time on this. The next day she decided it was too scary to ride again. I thought the 54 ft drop into the briar patch was fun.
in the middle of the playground in Honey I Shrunk the Kids. Everything was giant...you could definitely lose your kid quickly here.

The one ride she was really waiting all these months for...Toy Story Mania!

Tea cups! Alice and the White Rabbit actually rode this with them.

Another one of her favorites...The Magic Carpets of Alladin. I think she just enjoyed having the camel squirt her daddy with water.

The Polynesian

We went to DisneyWorld this past week. We stayed here at the Polynesian Resort. There were waterfalls and volcanos everywhere...AK loved it!
AK learned to pose and smile for photos on this trip!

MSU vs. LA Tech

Ava's friends Owen and Elizabeth came to the game with us (and their parents Amy and Jacob). Here is AK learning a new tailgate game.

Birthday Weekend

We had AK's 4th birthday party at our house on Friday night. My parents and Tracy came to stay the weekend and really helped make everything special for her. She wanted a princess party, especially Rapunzel ("with the long hair"). 9 of her friends came for the fun. I thought he cake people did a good job replicating Tracy's party invitation on the cake.

These cute barrettes made by Tracy were given as favors.
Each child had a request for with part of the princess they wanted to eat!
Bouncy fun!
Michael was mobbed and beaten several times.
Time to blow out candles. Ava Kathryn is sporting her signature color.
Presents.
Total chaos in the playroom.
the next morning (her real birthday) at her birthday breakfast. Gigi and Grandpa gave her this adorable fuzzy friend, which was made by Tracy.
Meme and Pawpaw gave her this MSU shirt made by Tracy.
The evening entertainment was provided by the birthday girl herself using her new band equipment from her daddy. She will start booking dates soon so make your reservations now!

Fun at Grandpa and Gigi's

Yummy! Ava stayed with my parents for 4 days and they had so much fun. Mom introduced Ava to Shirley Temple finally! She has only been compared to her for her entire life!
It's always fun posing on random fire trucks!Up in a treehouse!

Prairie Arts Festival

Tracy had a booth at this arts and crafts festival in West Point. Her booth was so cute. She sold a lot too. Not bad for her first show! We had a good time visiting and it wasn't as brutally hot as it could have been.
Ava really liked this frog.

My birthday

Yes, I'm now 35. On the plus side...I now have an ipad! Can you believe AK was able to keep that secret?
