Not Much New

The front brick work is stalled while we wait on the pre-cast concrete for window surrounds.
Waiting on iron railings, screen, and pool
All of the sheetrock work is done downstairs and priming has been done upstairs.

Birdhouse Buildin'

AK has been begging Grandpa to let her build something. She decided she wanted to build a bird house. Last week while she stayed with Grandpa and Gigi, that's what they did.

Happy 3rd of July!

At the Country Club's 4th of July Celebration (July 3).
It's hard to tell with the iphone's poor action quality, but that is AK coming down the waterslide.
One of her favorite moments (and yes, the whole thing was eaten). She did have a great time except while watching the tremendous fireworks display. What kid complains about the fireworks lasting too long?!!

Ocean Swimming

The Beach

We went to Florida last week. We had gorgeous beach conditions and beautiful weather. Here AK is posing with the "supermoon".

Diving for shells was a top activity this year.

Ok....no, we didn't build this. But if we had wanted to build a sand octopus, this is what it would have looked like.

This was how we saw her face all week.
Outside of our condo named the Beachhouse.
Our very own postcard!

Happy Father's Day!!

AK wanted to go play golf with daddy today. Are flip flops course approved? What if they have spikes? She really liked riding in the cart.

Her favorite golf activity is filling water cups. She decided it was too hot to play golf, so daddy dropped us at the pool.
A little more progress at the house. I really like the brick and mortar.
AK is pretending to wash her hands at the future kitchen sink. All of the drywall is up now. They are mudding it this week.

The weekend

Seeing the brick go up is pretty exciting. It's starting to look like a real house.

 They are dry-walling the interior!
Woodworking with Grandpa. This is all AK has been talking about for weeks..."building" a wooden heart.
While attending a baseball regional at Mississippi State, the matching Maroon Nintendo DS is a MUST!! (also, check out the tats!)
