Viking Cooking School

Friday night Michael and I headed to Greenwood for a night at the Alluvian, but first we had to attend cooking school at Viking. It was a little overwhelming at first, but we got the hang of it and helped produce a fabulous meal!! Here is Michael garnishing the spring greens with apple wedges. the finished product. Here are his creppes filled with strawberries, a white cream sauce, and covered with a chocolate sauce. They were sooooo yummy. And yes, I do expect this from him routinely!

Another Football season begins...we had such great weather and such a great time hanging out with friends and family. Of course, a dominating win helps too. Ava is showing the birthday girl (Gigi) some love.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had to work till 6:00, but then we all went to Mt Fugi, one of 5 Japanese restaurants here in Tupelo (thank you Toyota). No, there wasn't room for 34 candles!

What a yummy combination provided by Michael....Dark Chocolate Strawberry Pie and a Schramsburg Reserve 2001. It doesn't get much better than that!

First Dance Class

We finally made it to our first dance class. She was so excited and did such a great job. She is already one of the best in her class (and the youngest). She had such a fun time with her friend, Autumn, in the class with her.

Pigtails

I finally attempted pigtails. I'm not as good as her teachers yet, but Ava didn't mind. She started her new class (room 7) this past week. She didn't get to go much due to yet another bout of strep throat. She was pretty pitiful most of the week. She even missed her first dance class. Maybe we'll make this weeks class and photos will follow.

"Can I pet him?"

We had dinner with our friends, Rob and Jenni, and their 3 1/2 month old baby. At dinner, Ava asked, "mom, can I pet him?" She was very excited and wanted Michael to pet him too. You can tell what other children (Ellie and Emma) she is used to being around. This is a picture of Ava in her room holding him...she wasn't fazed by Chase's screams of terror at all! She really was sweet to him...used her really gentle sweet voice...shared her toys and taught him to play her piano. She really wants a baby.
